Bishopsteignton Horse Chestnut Fell

Thanks Teign Trees for a professional job well done.

Bishopsteignton Parish Council, Bishopsteignton

It's always a sad task when an iconic tree has to come down because of disease. This was the case for the beautiful Bishopsteignton Horse Chestnut which meant a great deal to local residents and had stood in the centre of the village for many years. Very sadly the tree had become unsafe due to disease and subsequent decay and we were asked to undertake it's removal.

It was a potentially tricky project because of the required traffic management, safety precautions and kit needed to tackle a tree of this size, but the tree teams handled the entire process in a controlled, safe and focused manner, which led to many positive comments from local residents on social media.

"Just to say the contractors who removed the horse chestnut tree today were very efficient and left the site so tidy you wouldn't have known they'd been there."

"Great job, not a sign of any debris."

Bishopsteignton Parish Council are already planning to replace the tree with a specimen that can fill the gap and give enjoyment for many years to come.
